Stop by the Gardens to fill out an application to become a volunteer at Gardens of the Fox Cities. All volunteers that give 75 volunteer hours or more will receive a free Friends of the Gardens membership(value of $50) or $50 off of any of the other memberships we offer.

Education
Youth and adult volunteers interested in sharing knowledge about plants, gardens, and nature with the community can become an education volunteer. Help is needed for youth and adult education classes, youth summer gardening programs, school field trips, and afterschool outreach programs. You may help as a leader or support volunteer.

Garden Maintenance
Garden and forestry maintenance are VITAL to us. Your help, with the direction of our staff, will generally include garden needs such as weeding, watering, and planting. Assistance is also needed with other tasks such as installing plant material, collecting seeds, deadheading, and mulching different garden areas. Ongoing training is provided for these skills.

Greeter
Greeters are responsible for making our visitors fell welcome. They are people who love interacting with the public, answering questions about Gardens of the Fox Cities and the community, and answering telephone calls. Greeters need to be familiar with membership guidelines in case of inquiries about becoming a member or renewing a membership.

Greeters are asked to attend instructional training before beginning work at the greeter desk. Training will include expectations on how to greet visitors, answer phones, provide proper information and process membership and program inquiries.

Special Events
Volunteers with only limited time to give, find that special events allow them to be involved at the Gardens. The main events at the Gardens are the Heirloom Plant Sale in May, and a Garden Harvest Dinner in August. These events are important fundraising events for the Gardens.
